8th Infantry Division
PriorService is proud to offer a large selection of items for the 8th Infantry Division. The Golden Arrow Division was formed in 1918 as the United States was fighting in World War I. The division moved overseas but did not see combat in World War I and the division was disbanded after the war. The 8th Infantry Division was reactivated in 1940 as the world war being engulfed with World War II. The division moved to Europe in preparation for the invasion of France. The 8th Infantry Division landed at Omaha Beach a shortly after D-Day and saw extensive combat in the Battle of Normandy. The division remained in Europe through the end of the war and saw extensive combat including the Battle of Hurtgen Forest and the drive into Germany. After the war the 8th Infantry Division was stationed on the front lines of the Cold War in Bad Kreuznach, West Germany. Parts of the division served in Operation Desert Storm in the 1991 liberation of Kuwait. The division was deactivated in 1992.
