29th Infantry Division
PriorService is proud to offer a large selection of items for the 29th Infantry Division. The soldiers of the “Blue and Gray” division have seen combat from World War I until the division’s deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, almost 100 years of combat. The division is currently an Army National Guard formation primarily with units from Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia. The division was formed in 1917 and was sent to Europe as part of the American Expeditionary Force. During the division’s time in Europe it participated in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. After the war the division was sent back to the United States and deactivated. With the world again at war, the division was reactivated in 1941. In 1942 the division was sent to Europe and began preparing for an assault on main land Europe. The division remained on Europe and fought throughout the drive to Germany and until the German surrender on May 7, 1945. After World War II the division has been deactivated and reactivated numerous times and been an Army National Guard Unit. Parts of the division have been deployed numerous times to Iraq and Afghanistan in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
