PriorService is proud to offer a large selection of items for the 2nd Marine Division. The 2nd Marine Division is currently based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and is an active division in the United States Marine Corps.

This division has a long and proud history including action in World War I, World War II, Beirut, Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Several of the division’s regiments were sent to France in 1917 and saw combat in several major battles of World War I. During World War II the division was sent to the Pacific Theater and saw combat in many bloody battles. The division first saw action at Guadalcanal in 1942. In 1943 the 2nd Marine Division invaded the tiny island of Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands. This battle was one of most savage and bloody of the war and was nicknames “Bloody Tarawa.” The division next saw combat with the invasions of Saipan and Tinian in the Marinas Islands. The division next saw combat with the invasion of Okinawa. This long and bloody battle was the last the division saw in World War II. The division briefly stayed in Japan as an occupying force before returning to the United States. Since World War II the division has seen combat in Beirut, Panama, the Gulf War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The division has deployed to Iraq three times in Operation Iraqi Freedom, including in 2003 for the invasion.
